We met for the Dialogue on Race 2024 Summer Summit on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 4-6 PM at the Christiansburg Huckleberry Park, the new state of the art facility on Pepper’s Ferry Road across from the New River Valley Mall. We met in the hilltop pavilion for in-person, interactive, small-group conversations.

The Splash Pad beside the Hilltop Pavilion is a favorite summertime recreation spot for kids. How fun! A state-of-the-art inclusive playground can be seen in the background. The yellow flowering shrubs alongside the walkway, Hypericum prolificum, Shrubby St. John’s Wort, an excellent long-blooming native shrub, testifies to the deeply innovative design of this excellent public park.
